A special court sat today on Monday where six convicted and three were sentenced to life imprisonment for kidnapping and brutally gangraping an eight-year-old girl at Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir.
The trial court soon after finding three men guilty for the shameful act hasn’t left any coins unturned to punish them ever since. The decision to give life imprisonment to these criminals has brought triumph for a fair justice system. The case was handed over to the Punjab court from J & K for a fair trial.
Since then the investigation to the case was carried forward with an instant alarm and has been successful in completing it within two months. District and session Judge Tejwinder Singh has approached the case in the manner which would be determined by higher courts. He states- “ This devilish and monstrous crime has sent shock waves across the society and the actual guilty needs to be brought under the sword of justice.”
The girl’s medical report showed that she was strangled to death also has been subjugated to sexual assault. Arvind Kejriwal tweeted- “Welcome court verdict in Kathua gangrape and murder of a minor girl. Those monsters who commit heinous crimes like Kathua and Aligarh deserve exemplary punishment and there should be no mercy for such criminals against humanity.”
