Dr. Pranav Tripathi a former environmental researcher at IIT Bombay says, “ The first issue is the public transport and secondly planting trees should be made a compulsory act. The government should make compulsory guidelines where every student should be asked to plant trees

before they graduate from an institute. Generally, the pollution level is high in the winter season because of the stubble burning of crops by farmers and this is mostly done prior to the winter season. Therefore, when winter happens pollution rises to an extreme level. The government should provide money to the farmers in order to stop stubble burning and proper policies to this should be implemented”.

The reduction in pollution will occur only if we take measures towards a safe environment. “Often you can’t even see it, but air pollution is everywhere. We can’t stop breathing, but we can do something about the quality of our air,” the UN says.
