Shooting on Sunday threw panic amongst people enjoying their off-days at the Gilroy garlic festival, California.
It has been reported that three people were killed and 12 injured severely at Gilroy garlic festival where people were in the time celebrating food, competitions, and music. The festival attracted a crowd of 100,000 people in total. It is a nationally known event where many garlic lovers come all across the nation to enjoy the festival.
There was a sense of confusion and panic regarding the direction of the gunshots reports a witness. There were many from the crowd who have reported the incident on Twitter with regard to the number getting injured. One of the women screamed at a distant “ What’s going on?” “Who’d shoot up a garlic festival?”
Singer Jack van Breen from the band Tin Man said he saw a man wearing a green shirt and grayish handkerchief around his neck fire into the food area. Julissa Contreras a witness told NBC ”I could see him shooting in just every direction. He wasn’t aiming at anyone specifically. It was just left to right, right to left,” Contreras said, according to NBC.
Donald Trump tweeted on the same “ Law Enforcement is at the scene of shootings in Gilroy, California. Reports are that shooters have not yet been apprehended. Be careful and safe!” he wrote.
