At a public meeting in the capital, he announces stating that public transportation will be made free of cost for women for the sake of their safety. There has been encouragement from his party for women to use public transport without fear. “ An announcement in this regard will be made on June 3,” he said.

The various aspects of the transportation fare would be discussed in a meeting says transport minister Kailash Gahlot. The transport department officials pointed out hindrances on allowing free transportation to women on metros and stated that it could be challenging.
