On Sunday King of Netherlands visits India for the purpose of meeting Prime Minister Modi.
William-Alexander and Queen Maxima arrived in India on Sunday for a five-day state visit. The couple receives a warm welcome at the airport in New Delhi where several officials were seen lined up for the occasion.
This is the royal couple’s first state visit to India following his ascension of the throne on 2013. Further, he will hold a meeting with President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
The royal couples apart from official meetings have also decided to visit Mumbai and Kerala. They will also be attending the inaugural session of the 25th Technology Summit in New Delhi of which the Netherland is a partner country.
Bilateral trade turnover is shared between India and the Netherland of $12.87 billion (2018-2019). Netherland is also the fifth largest investor in India with a cumulative investment of $23 billion between the two countries.
