Kashmiri Politicians ‘House Guest’, Provided With Gym And Hollywood Movie CDs: Jitendra Singh

Jitendra Singh the Union Minister recently reported saying that Kashmiri politicians under house arrest will not be kept in confinement for more than 18 months.

In fact, he says that the leaders under house arrest were not literally arrested but they were living as “house guests” and were provided with all the amenities necessary including CDs of Hollywood movies and bread of their choices.

“Political leaders have been kept in VIP bungalows. We have even given them CDs of Hollywood movies. Gym facility has also been provided to them. They are not under house arrest. They are house guests,” says Jitendra Singh at a public rally.

Also, the Ministers of State have asserted that the political leaders will not be kept under detention for more than 18 months. There were an unspecified number of political leaders, separatist, activist and lawyers that were detained by the Jammu and Kashmir administration after the Central government announced on August 5 regarding the abrogation of the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 and its bifurcation into Union Territories.

Singh also goes on to say that Kashmir belongs to India and the Centre is committed to restoring the boundaries of Jammu and Kashmir.
