The world embraces Yoga Day while Congress president, Rahul Gandhi’s tweet sparks controversy. Mr. Gandhi tweets pictures of the dog squad of the Indian Army doing yoga with the caption “New India.” By the caption “New India” he obviously meant to take a dig at the Narendra Modi government’s popular slogan.
A lot of social media outrage followed after his tweet. Twitter users including BJP politicians reacted to the tweet saying Rahul Gandhi had insulted the army, dogs and the country.

Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh criticized him, One can only pray to God to give him sense,” he tweeted. “They are proud members of the Indian Army and they contribute to the safety of our nation,” he added.

Ok. He still hasn’t learned his lessons. In one go, he has insulted our Army, brave Jawans, the incredible dog unit, Yoga tradition & our country, wrote BJP MP, Tejasvi Surya. Mr. Gandhi was also trolled on Twitter with a number of people posting pictures about the Congress while poking fun at him and the party.

Such kind of insensitivity is just not acceptable from the president of the oldest political party of India.
