On the final day of the All Indi Coordination Committee meeting in Pushkar, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) cleared it’s stand on many issues, particularly reservation.

RSS joint General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale addressed a press conference at the end of the conclave, saying-“ There is social and economic disparity in our society and therefore reservation is required… we totally support the reservation as mandated by the constitution.”

When questioned about its continuity, Hosabale added-“Reservation should continue till its beneficiaries feel it is required.”

There was also a talk about the National Register of Citizens (NRC) issue of Assam. Mr Hosabale believes that more work needs to be done on the topic by the centre to single out every illegal immigrant residing in the nation. “NRC report is not the final rule, the government will need to figure out what more steps need to be taken to find out the inefficiencies in it. There might be some shortcomings which people are against but we welcome the step,” he said regarding the issue.

Mr Hosabale also congratulated the Central Government on its completion of 100 days in the office. The situation of Kashmir after the abrogation of article 370 and the Ram Mandir issue were also discussed .

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and heads of over 35 organisations affiliated to the RSS attended the three day meeting. The RSS conclave is an yearly affair. Last year it was held at Andhra Pradesh
