Facebook Denies Voice Recordings Through Human Contractors

Facebook has always been the center of attention when it comes to its user’s privacy concerns.

Recently an incident came to the notice as Facebook along with techs giants such as Amazon, Apple, Google, and Microsoft have all been caught in the act of collecting voice data of users. It has also been discovered that a third party contractor listens to information that is potentially sensitive. They say its all in the name of improving the quality of service.

Though Facebook has denied any kind of allegations as such but has confirmed that they use the ‘voice to text’ function of its Messenger app which functions without end-to-end encryption except for its secret conversation mode. They also say that it uses Machine Learning to improve the service with voice recordings kept secret in order to protect the identity of privacy which isn’t enough to please the user’s concerns.

Unlike Apple’s case, it is not yet certain as to whether Facebook is involved in any such kind of filters. The privacy in today’s day and age is a matter of scrutiny if mishandled might lead to a crippling outcome.
