In Telangana, the state government will be soon launching a citizen services management portal which will provide all the services to citizens online on one single website. For the smooth functioning of the service, a special dashboard will be set up to monitor the improvements carried out by respective departments at a regular period. Furthermore, governments forethought to bring more improvement in other government departments in the state to improve the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB). Also, the officials have announced that Telangana stood third in the EoDB ranking of states for 2019.
On Wednesday, IT, Industries Minister KT Rama Rao along with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar held a high-level meeting with the heads of various departments to discuss the new reforms required to improve the EoDB, and issues to be addressed within a stipulated time frame. The minister said and added that the government is striving to make the administration interface easier for citizens as well as the commercial entities for doing business in the state. For EoDB, the government is deciding to appoint an officer for each department, and they will be looking for and kind of permission required for businesses and commercial organizations.
Especially, citizens and commercial establishments interact with departments such as legal, tourism, civil supplies, excise, film development corporation, land revenue, education, and health, and the citizen services management portal will be a one-stop destination for all services under these departments.
As per the report, Chief Secretary Somesh kumar, Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar, IT and Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, senior IAS officers Rajat Kumar, Janardhan Reddy, and Sandeep Kumar Sultania participated in the review meeting.
