Tom Cruise swears at Mission: Impossible crew for violating corona guidelines, threatens to sack on the spot

Tom Cruise, the 58-year old actor and producer, was caught screaming on his film crew, Mission: Impossible 7 after he had seen two of the crew members standing too close to each other in front of the computer scene. This breach of the coronavirus prevention guidelines made the actor throw derogatory comments on his crew.

The Sun had leaked an audio recording of the actor swearing and scolding his film crew and threatening that anyone found violating the guidelines especially the social distancing rule will be sacked from the project.

In the recording at the Leavesden Studios in the United Kingdom, Tom Cruise ordered that if he ever found anyone doing this again, that person would be fired and ‘fucking gone’. He threatened, ‘don’t you ever fucking do it again.’

Cruise sternly said, “We are not shutting this fucking movie down! Is it understood? If I see it again, you’re fucking gone.”

He sympathised with the people who had lost their jobs in the pandemic as the several industries were shut down. He said that no apology would ‘put food on their table or pay for their college education.’

Owing to the pandemic, many Hollywood film production and shoots were delayed or stopped including Mission: Impossible 7. In February, film production was put on a standstill in Italy due to the ban on public gatherings by the government. However, Tom Cruise had appealed to Oliver Dowden, Culture Secretary for film shootings to resume from July. Unfortunately, it was again interrupted when a person was infected by the coronavirus on the film set.

He had also mentioned that the film production would act as the paradigm for Hollywood to restart working in the pandemic, stating ‘I’m on the phone with every fucking studio at night, insurance companies, producers, and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies. We are creating thousands of jobs you motherfuckers, Movies are going because of us. If we shut down it’s going to cost people fucking jobs, their home, their family. That’s what’s happening.’

This sudden outburst received various responses. Some people appreciated the actor while many found the screaming unnecessary, called it bullying. They said being the producer, he should be concerned with the film production. In case the film suits down, it could cost millions of dollars. Another one stated that they should feel responsible and lucky for getting employed in the pandemic and stop playing with the coronavirus guidelines. “Tom Cruise has a huge responsibility and the show must go on”, one more added. Consequently, people criticised the rant believing that no one has the right to swear people. “If I did that at my job I’d be fired immediately!”, a person commented. They stated that the actor could have patiently made the crew understood the point.
